Cookie Policy
Effective date: February 2, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Nova Desk Inc. ("Nova Desk," "we," "our") uses cookies and similar local storage technologies on the Nova website. Cookies are small text files placed on your device by your browser. Our site is intentionally lightweight and uses very few of them. This page describes the categories of cookies we use, what each one does, and how to manage them in your browser.
Cookies We Use
Rather than a long table, here is a straightforward description of every category of cookie you may encounter on our site:
- Essential cookies. A small number of strictly necessary cookies keep the site working correctly. For example, one cookie records whether you have acknowledged our cookie notice so that we do not show it to you on every page, and another maintains the security of form submissions. These cookies contain no personal information, are set only in response to your actions, and cannot be disabled without breaking the corresponding feature.
- Preference cookies. If you change settings on the site — such as language or appearance — a preference cookie remembers your choice between visits, so you do not have to select it again. Preference cookies store only the choices you made and are never used to build a profile of you or to follow you across other websites.
- Analytics cookies. We use a minimal analytics setup to understand, in aggregate, how many people visit the site, which pages are read, and whether anything is broken. These cookies help us see, for example, that a legal page is being found from search results. The data collected is anonymous and aggregated; we do not track individual visitors, and analytics data is not combined with any other source of personal information.
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or social media tracking buttons, and we do not permit third-party advertisers to set cookies on our site. The Nova application itself does not use cookies at all — your license and settings are stored locally on your Mac, not in browser storage.
Managing Cookies
You can control cookies at any time through your browser settings. Here is how to do it in the two most common browsers for macOS:
- Safari. Open Safari and choose Safari > Settings (or Preferences). Go to the Privacy tab. There you will find options to block all cookies, to prevent cross-site tracking, and to manage website data. Click "Manage Website Data…" to see and remove individual cookies stored by our site, or "Remove All Website Data…" to clear everything.
- Chrome. Open Chrome and click Chrome > Settings > Privacy and security. Under "Third-party cookies" you can choose to block third-party cookies or to block all cookies. Use "Clear browsing data" to delete existing cookies, or the site settings list to manage cookies for a specific website, such as ours.
You can also use your browser's private or incognito mode, which automatically discards cookies when you close the window. If you delete or block essential cookies, the site will still work, but you may see the cookie notice again on each visit and some conveniences (like remembered preferences) will not persist. If you have any questions about this policy or about cookies on our site, email us at support@nova-desk.top.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when our practices change or when required by law. We will post any revised version on this page and update the effective date at the top. Please review it occasionally. If changes are significant, we will do our best to draw your attention to them on the site.
